A Quick Look Back at the KidsFest Back-to-School Bash 2023

Back in July, Dr. Tzagournis and his team participated in KidsFest, a local community-driven event that brings families in Westerville together for a day filled with fun activities, games, and entertainment! The practice used this opportunity to engage with their patients outside of the dental office, giving away toothbrushes and other fun dental supplies while also taking every chance they could to mention the merits of good oral health. What Is KidsFest?

To put it simply, KidsFest is a giant one-day festival that all of Westerville is welcome to participate in! It includes a wide variety of activities, and general admission is free. Patrons of all ages can enjoy all sorts of carnival games, mini golf, bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, and all sorts of other fun performances and venues. There are several raffles, giveaways, prizes, and other freebies, too; the local school district even gave out free school supplies for the first 200 visitors, coupled with a free treat from Tim Horton’s! It’s also a great opportunity to find classes, childcare, after-school programs, and other educational/home resources.

Dr. Tzagournis and his team know the importance of good oral health—but they also know how important it is to foster a positive, accommodating local community! That’s why they went all-out this year at the Back-to-School Bash; they gave out toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste, dental floss, and other various dental-themed goodies, and they also spent a great deal of time engaging with the community. The team excitedly met with patients young and old, new and returning, and made sure that everyone knew about the importance of oral care outside of the dentist’s office. They look forward to returning next year and handing out twice the number of toothbrushes!
